Best for

Studios that need one analog hub for dry-track re-amping, parallel dry and amplified capture, pedal/line-level integration, instrument preamplification and carefully configured silent tube-amp recording.

Who should skip

Skip it if you need a microphone preamp, digital audio converter, speaker simulator, bridged-amplifier load, or silent-load operation above 50 W or at an impedance other than 8 Ω.

Watchouts

Amplifier safety is configuration-critical. Never connect a bridged amplifier. For silent recording with THRU open, the amplifier must not exceed 50 W and must match the internal 8 Ω load. For more powerful amplifiers, Warm Audio requires an appropriate speaker load connected through THRU; incorrect power or impedance can damage the amplifier.

Likely add-ons

  • cables appropriate to the selected instrument, balanced-line or speaker-level path
  • audio interface or studio line-level equipment for recording and re-amping workflows
  • correctly rated speaker cable and load/cabinet whenever the amplifier setup requires one

Verify before buying

  • Is the amplifier output non-bridged, no more than 50 W, and matched to 8 Ω before using the internal silent-recording load?
  • Does this workflow require THRU to feed an appropriate speaker cabinet or external load?
  • Which instrument-, balanced-line- or speaker-level cables are required for the intended routing?
  • Does the exact Envoy package include the region-appropriate IEC power cable and any audio cables?
