Fishman PRF-MC6-MH2 Fluence Matt Heafy Black 6-String Pickup Set

Best for

Six-string players who want Matt Heafy's matched active neck/bridge set with three selectable voices per pickup, including modern high-output, passive-style and single-coil-style options.

Who should skip

Skip it if you need passive no-battery operation, one pickup rather than a set, a white or seven-string version, a single-coil route, or cannot accommodate active wiring and 9–18 V power.

Watchouts

PRF-MC6-MH2 is the black six-string matched set. Do not confuse it with white PRF-MC6-MW2, a seven-string set, or an individual pickup. Voice 3 overrides Voice 2 in Fishman's switching scheme. A battery is required but not asserted as included. Fishman's accepted evidence does not publish a GTIN, so none is asserted.

Likely add-ons

  • 9 V battery or compatible 9–18 V guitar power system
  • compatible six-string two-humbucker electric guitar
  • soldering tools and supplies or a qualified guitar technician

Verify before buying

  • Is the required variant the black six-string PRF-MC6-MH2 set?
  • Can the guitar accept two humbucker-format pickups and the documented active controls?
  • Is there safe room for 9–18 V power and output-jack battery switching?
  • Will the intended switching provide access to all three voices in the desired control layout?
  • Does the sealed box contain the exact Fishman controls and wiring shown in its current guide?
